LAS VEGAS, June 9-11, 2010 – Jupiter Systems, the industry leader in display wall technology, introduced the most advanced display wall processors available today with its new Fusion Catalyst™ product family. Fusion Catalyst processors offer superior performance, video quality, configuration space and reliability in uniquely cost-effective, space-efficient platforms and are the ideal solution for network operations centers, public utility control centers, intelligent traffic management centers, civil and military surveillance systems, public safety operations and any other application requiring large area display.
“Fusion Catalyst ushers in a new era of performance and flexibility for all types of display wall projects. We designed the new product line with our customers in mind, delivering more power, more speed, and extended capability to handle the wide variety of display wall projects that are being built today,” said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances, at Jupiter Systems.
High Performance, Seamless Transition
Fusion Catalyst delivers superior performance with up to 192 Gbps of internal bandwidth that can carry a vast number and variety of video signals, and drive ultra-high resolution displays. It offers an extraordinary range of flexibility and can handle up to 376 analog or streaming SD video inputs, up to 94 DVI/VGA or HD component video inputs, and up to 96 graphic outputs, all controlled by a powerful drag-and-drop user interface. This immense configuration space is unique in the industry, moreover, Fusion Catalyst is the only processor to handle dual-link DVI (up to 2560x1600 resolution) on both input and output. In addition, Fusion Catalyst offers the reliable 24/7 system availability and hot swappable components that Jupiter pioneered and its customers have come to expect.
Fusion Catalyst sets a new industry standard with an extremely broad configuration space, high performance and stunning video quality, yet it does so at a new, lower price point. It runs the same powerful, feature-rich ControlPoint software, which means drop-in compatibility and no new training requirements. As a result, customers with existing Fusion installations can upgrade easily to all the benefits of Fusion Catalyst.
Power for Large and Small Projects
The Fusion Catalyst product family includes the Fusion Catalyst 1000 and 4000 models.
The Fusion Catalyst 4000 is built on the speedy PCI Express 2.0 architecture and provides 16 4-lane slots, each with 16 Gbps of non-blocking bandwidth. Up to two Fusion Catalyst Expansion Chassis can be added to the 4000 model, bringing the total number of slots to 48.
The Fusion Catalyst 1000 provides 10 4-lane slots, each with 16 Gbps of non-blocking bandwidth.
It’s a PC, Too
Applications can be run directly on the Fusion Catalyst processor for display locally on the display wall. Hundreds of small windows can be opened and spread across any portion of the wall. Alternately, a large window can be created allowing an application to occupy every pixel on the wall. Both models run the Windows Vista Business 64-bit operating system and feature advanced Intel CPUs. &
